Nirvana is widely considered one of the most influential bands in Rock and Roll history.  They signaled the end of the 80's glam rock era, and ushered in a grittier, edgier sound whose influence can still be found in many new bands coming up.

A portion of all Nirvana poster sales made through Red Jellyfish are donated to help protect the environment.

Nirvana Facts:

Nirvana's first recorded show was at a house party and they called themselves "Skid Row".

Kurt Cobain was on his high school wrestling team.

When Nirvana won an award at the 1992 MTV Music Awards they had a Michael Jackson
impersonator accept the award claiming he was the "King of Grunge".

Kurt's first concert was Sammy Hagar.

Kurt Cobain was cremated and some of his ashes were scattered in a Buddhist temple in
New York where they were mixed with clay & baked into 12 small cone-shaped sculptures that Buddhists call tsatsas.

Both "Negative Creep" and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" can be heard in Muzak versions! (We don't recommend that)
