Q. Is Red Jellyfish DSL available in my area?

A. Most likely. We cover over 90% of the United States. Please

Q. What is the difference between DSL and dial up service?

A. There are several key differences;

1) DSL is much faster that dial up service. A page that takes 10 second to load over dial up may take only 1 second over DSL. 

2) With Red Jellyfish DSL you can talk on the phone and be online at the same time. 

3) DSL is always on, there is no need to dial into the internet, and no dropped connections. You just sit down and start surfing! There is also no limit to how many hours you can use it, it'd designed to be used 24 hours a day 7 days a week. 


Q. Is Red Jellyfish Internet available for Macintosh?

A. Yes, we are fully Mac compatible.


Q. Is signing up difficult?

Q. How does DSL compare to cable? 

A. DSL is inherently more secure than cable, and provides guaranteed speeds.


Q. How will my DSL be installed?

A. We'll send you a simple setup kit that will contain everything you need.  You just snap the connectors we send in place, and it filters the DSL signal over your regular phone line!  If necessary, we will notify your local company to make sure your connection is ready.  You will not need to be home for that to occur.


Q. Can I have several computers in my house on one DSL connection?

A. Yes, you can have several computers all operating on just one DSL connection.  You can also use a wireless hub to setup a wireless network within your home-all at DSL speeds!


Q. How fast is Red Jellyfish DSL?

Q. Do I need to take any additional security measures with DSL?

A. We highly recommend the use of firewalls for all high speed Internet connections weather you use cable or DSL, and no matter who your provider is. 


Q. My computer is older.  Will Red Jellyfish DSL work with it? 

A. Yes, it will most likely work.  If you would like to verify your specific computer's compatibility, please call our support department at (866) 498-8872.


Q. I don't currently have an Internet connection on my computer.  Can I still get set up on Red Jellyfish DSL?

A.  Yes. 


Q. How do I get my e-mail?  

A. You have two choices:

1) You can use our web based interface. This is quick and easy, and allows you to check your e-mail online from anywhere in the world, but you are limited to how many messages you can have in there at any one time.

2)  You can use e-mail programs on your computer such as Outlook. With this you can only check your mail from that computer, but you can store a very large number of messages.   


Q. How can I pay for this service?

A. We will set it up to automatically bill your credit card or checking account monthly.  Our DSL requires a one year commitment, and a termination fee will apply if cancelled within the first year.


Q. Can I still use AOL instant messenger?

A. Yes! You can still use AOL Instant Messenger.


Q. Can I still use chat rooms from other services?

A. Yes! You can still use most of those services for free. 


Q. Does Red Jellyfish Internet charge for premium support like Earthlink and other companies?

A. No!  You'll get the best tech support around and we'll never charge you a dime more!  We usually have a live technician answer by the third ring, and you don't have to go through any complicated phone mazes or stay on hold for ages.


Q. Some companies (like AOL and MSN) sell my information to other companies. Will Red Jellyfish Internet do this?

A. No. We are serious about keeping your information private and operate our entire business to ensure that your information is never shared with anyone.


Q. Do I really save 10,000 square feet of rainforest a year?
